QTCU partnership with Zoe's Place
A new community partnership has been launched aimed at raising funds and awareness for Queensland’s first and only children’s hospice, Zoe’s Place, which is dedicated to assisting families with children suffering life threatening illnesses.
On 6 February, 2008, QTCU General Manager, Mike Murphy and Zoe’s Place CEO, Shay Zulpo, planted a native Gardenia to mark the beginning of a year’s fundraising that is hoped will raise $100,000 for extra facilities at Zoe’s Place which is located in the Brisbane suburb of Mount Ommaney.
Mr Murphy announced an initial donation of $20,000 to Zoe’s Place to kick-start the partnership. QTCU is committed to helping the organization raise funds urgently required to assist families in need of end-of-life care.
Zoe’s Place relies heavily on donations and receives only minimal funding from the Government.
If every QTCU member donated just $2 we would raise our initial target! Donating more would mean we are well and truly on our way to developing Stage Two!
