Peter Whitelaw - Chairman

Mr Whitelaw was appointed to the Board in July 2001 to fill a casual vacancy. He was elected to the Board at the 2002 election. During his full-time career he taught in state schools and was a Principal of Secondary Schools, an Inspector, a Regional Director, and a District Director in various places across Queensland. He is also a past president of the Qld Institute of Senior Education Officers.
Currently Mr Whitelaw is a self employed consultant who has advised staff and principals of schools in Queensland and the Middle East. He has lectured to post graduate students at the University of Queensland. He has also facilitated programs for State and Local government agencies and community groups. Mr Whitelaw is the Chairman of the Audit Committee, the Risk Committee and a member of the Governance Committee and the Professional Development Committee.
