Filo found at QTCU branches

Filos with Mike Murphy and Shay ZulpoFilo, the unique cuddly mascot of Queensland’s only children’s hospice Zoe’s Place, has found his way into QTCU branches where people will be able to purchase their very own and help raise much needed funds for local kids.

Derived from the Greek word ‘filo’, meaning ‘love of a good friend’, the Filo mascot has provided tremendous amounts of support to children at Zoe’s Place since he arrived.

“Filo has been a wonderful friend to hundreds of Queensland kids over the years and as part of our commitment to helping Zoe’s Place, we will be giving everyone across the state the opportunity to have their very own,” QTCU General Manager Mike Murphy said.

“For just $10, people will be able to buy their own Filo which can be purchased at any of our branches throughout Queensland.

“And with each purchase, people will know they are helping raise money for a truly wonderful cause.”

As a major sponsor of Zoe’s Place, QTCU is hoping to raise over $100,000 this year.

“Zoe’s Place does an amazing job looking after Queensland kids with very limited resources,” Mr Murphy said.

“I’m really passionate about raising funds for Zoe’s Place and I encourage Queenslanders to show their support by purchasing a Filo doll.”
