QTCU helps home buyers with low interest rate

Queensland Teachers’ Credit Union (QTCU) has upped the ante by offering one of the lowest fixed introductory home loan rate in Australia at 6.99%

QTCU CEO Mike Murphy said it was one of the lowest home loan rate currently available in Australia and hoped with the recent increase of the First Home Owners Grant, it would provide the ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to enter the housing market.

“We realise how tough it is for first home buyers and this decision provides a significant step towards helping people break into the real estate market,” he said.

“Since QTCU is not governed by shareholders seeking returns and dividends, we are able to keep members’ interests at the forefront  of all business decisions.

“That means, any profit we make goes straight back into the credit union ensuring we can keep fees to a minimum and still make improvements to the services we offer.
