The $7,000 grant is provided by the Queensland Government, which is administering the First Home Owner Grants through the Office of State Revenue.

Since 1 July 2000, when you buy or build your first home, you may be eligible for a Grant.

In Queensland people who buy or build their first home may also be eligible for a stamp duty rebate. In addition to the rebate, stamp duty concessions exist for principal places of residence.
