James studied Information Technology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University, and worked for Shell Australia in a Technology role, before joining the Queensland Police Service in 2004.

James made the choice in 2007 to follow his passion for personal investment into a career as a professional Financial Planner.  To support his chosen career James completed the Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) in 2008 and the Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) in 2010.  James is an Associate Financial Planner practitioner member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.  James is set to continue his studies in 2010 with a Masters Degree.

James was invited to undertake an accelerated development program for Financial Planners with Suncorp.  This comprehensive program built upon James' personal experience and investment knowledge, allowing him to perform his role with distinction, culminating in a national award for excellence in 2009.  James had funds under advice of $40 million and assisted many clients through the transition from working to retirement.

James joined QTCU Financial Planning in October 2009.  He has successfully advised clients at all stages of life and in varying financial positions, helping them to achieve their goals, especially during the recent economic turmoil.  James prides himself on his ability to explain wealth concepts so that clients fully understand their options and how best to act on them.
