Keyway Financial Coaching Program 

Liz VellaIn today’s technological world, understanding the basics of good money management is essential. That’s why we’ve developed the Financial Coaching Program… to help young people on the path to financial literacy.

The Keyway Financial Coaching Program a school-based program that teaches teenagers aged between 15 and 17 how to manage their money. It inspires them to develop healthy financial habits and recognise the importance of being financially aware.

Presented by QTCU Promotions Consultant and former secondary school teacher Liz Vella, this free program helps young people make good decisions that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

Each 50-minute session includes topics on:

  • Saving
    Know the value of putting money away regularly – no matter how small the amount.
  • Spending wisely
    How to choose between needs and wants, and not wasting that hard-earned cash!
  • Curbing credit card and mobile phone debt
    Plan and save
  • Buying a first car
    Do’s and don’ts

Keyway Lifestyle Coaching Program

One of QTCU’s most successful community programs, the Keyway Lifestyle Program, focuses on teenage lifestyle issues.  The program motivates teenagers aged between 15 and 17 to improve the quality of their lives and help equip them with important lifestyle skills to succeed. 

Eric BaileyThe Keyway Lifestyle Program is a school-based program that deals with the everyday experiences and social issues young people face.  Some topics included in the 50 minute sessions include:

  • Peer pressure
  • Setting and achieving goals
  • Lifestyle choices
  • Self esteem

The Keyway Lifestyle Program is presented by Eric Bailey, a former professional basketball player.  He has a unique understanding of the challenges of growing up and has a down-to-earth approach to beating life’s barriers.  He motivates young people with inspirational presentations and draws on his life-and-death experiences in downtown Los Angeles.  As well as speaking at Queensland schools, Eric has had great success in the corporate sector.
